What are lancets for measuring blood glucose?

Lancets are small devices with a fine needle used to make a small prick on the finger (or another alternative site) and collect a drop of blood to measure blood glucose with a blood glucose meter.

Do CareSens™ lancets hurt?

CareSens™ lancets are designed to minimise pain. The fine 30G needle allows for a less invasive and more comfortable puncture than larger-gauge lancets.

Can I reuse lancets?

No. Lancets are single-use. Reuse makes the needle less sharp, increases the risk of infection, and can make the puncture more painful. You should always use a new lancet for each test.

Are CareSens™ lancets compatible with other lancing devices?
